As a job candidate, you must make your application stand out. Review the resumes of the people who currently work in your desired role to determine the language you should use. Every bullet point should follow the format "accomplished x by doing y as measured by z" - details that will differentiate your application. You can anticipate 90% of interview questions, so rehearse your responses in advance. Interviewers will make a snap judgment about you and spend the entire conversation trying to confirm that unconscious bias. Dispel such judgments by trying to make a personal connection that is unrelated to the context of the job and by being prepared to deviate from traditional interview topics.
