ذهب جحا وامرأته لغسل أمتعتهما على شاطئ بحيرة، فلما وصلا ووضعا الأمتعة وجعلا عليها الصابون، انقض غراب فاختطف لوح الصابون، وذهب به طائرا في السماء. فصاحت امرأته: قم إلحق، الغراب سرق الصابون. فأجابها بكل برود: لماذا تضطربين؟ أليست ثياب الغراب أوسخ من ثيابنا؟ هو أحوج منا إلى الصابون.
