جاء رجل إلى سليمان بن داود، وقال: يا نبي الله إن لي جيرانا يسرقون أوزي، فلا أعرف السارق. فنادى للصلاة جماعة، ثم خطبهم وقال في خطبته: وإن أحدكم ليسرق أوز جاره، ثم يدخل المسجد والريش على رأسه، فمسح الرجل رأسه، فقال سليمان: خذوه فهو صاحبكم.
