사람은 나이가 들면 나잇값을 해야 한다는 말이 있다. 요즘 필자는 인생의 후배들에게 삶에 도움이 될 만한 말을 해주어야겠다는 의무감을 느낀다. 후배들에게 해주고 싶은 첫 마디는 복잡함을 떠나 간결함을 추구하라는 부탁이다. 세상이 복잡해지면서 사람들의 머릿속 생각이나, 욕망과 가치관도 혼란스러워진다.
